About Adam Red

Adam Red is the strategic partner that entrepreneurs need to position their businesses for growth. Founded by Gwen Witherspoon, a self-proclaimed serial entrepreneur, she serves as its Principal. Its roots can be traced back to her beginnings as a graphic designer and the 30-year marketing communications company she built from that foundation. The Adam Red name is new, but the company is not. In fact, it is the modern version of Gwen Witherspoon‘s vision from the early 1990s.

Her vision was to build a communications company to use art, technology, and music to facilitate maximum human and corporate development. Myriad Communications was to be worth $720 million dollars by the year 2020, and its divisions included Music, Interactive, Business Development, Publishing, and Design.

In 2010, Myriad became Glassworks Dream Boutique, a business coaching and marketing firm. Gwen’s consultative approach led her to Transformational Leadership Coaching, where she incorporated Dr. Joseph Umidi‘s dream coaching training to help entrepreneurs make their dreams work. The V.I.V.I.D.™ Model for growth and development was birthed during this time, and it became a pivotal methodology for her approach to client coaching. Once the dream was defined, Glassworks provided the full range of services needed, including strategic planning, marketing, branding, and web development.

Fast forward to 2016, and a year of re-branding culminated in the separation of Gwen’s coaching and 30-year marketing communications careers. After sharpening her skills in advertising, public relations, marketing, and digital, social media, and content marketing, it was determined that the next transformation had to be a branding agency. This new focus not only reflects the changing marketplace, but it is the perfect marriage of Gwen’s strengths, passions, experience, and purpose. Her personal mission is to solve the problem of identity. The name Adam Red represents the origins of identity: who you are, what you’re made of, and the work you’ve been given. It comes from Genesis 2: 19. In it, God brings everything that he’d made to Adam to see what he would call them. The company and its mission is a reflection of Gwen’s personal and professional growth.
